![]() NKorea warns ready to attack South over 'US military provocations' BY JON DEAN http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-n...y-mass-8843643 The North's Foreign Minister's announcement comes after American bombers this week flew over South Korea in a show of solidarity with its ally following the North's latest nuclear test North Korea is ready to launch a fresh attack on the South against 'US provocations,' Pyongyang has warned. The North's Foreign Minister's announcement comes after American bombers this week flew over South Korea in a show of solidarity with its ally following the North's latest nuclear test. North Korea set off its most powerful nuclear blast to date this month, saying it had mastered the ability to mount a warhead on a ballistic missile and ratcheting up a threat that its rivals and the United Nations have been powerless to contain. Two U.S. B-1 bombers flew over South Korea on Tuesday, drawing condemnation from the North. "The people of Korea are ready to stage another attack against the provocations of the United States," said Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho during a speech at a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement countries in Venezuela that was translated into Spanish. Seoul has also said North Korea was ready to conduct an additional nuclear test at any time. North Korea's latest test has launched a fresh push by the United States and South Korea for more sanctions. Pressure for further sanctions was "laughable", North Korea has said, vowing to continue to strengthen its nuclear power. Earlier this week, thousands of citizens and soldiers along with high-ranking government officials attended a bizarre rally in Pyongyang's Kim Il Sung square. The isolated state's leader Kim Jong Un was not seen in the video and KRT did not specify the date of celebration. During the rally, a senior government official hailed the reclusive country's successful nuclear test. "The standardisation of the nuclear warhead will enable to produce at will and as many as it wants a variety of smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear warheads of higher strike power," said Kim Ki Nam, North Korea's vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). South Korea said yesterday the North is ready to conduct an additional nuclear test at any time. On Tuesday, two US B-1 bombers flew over South Korea in a show of force and solidarity with its ally. Speaking in the South Korean capital, Sung Kim, the US envoy on North Korea, added that the United States remained open to authentic, meaningful dialogue with Pyongyang on ending its pursuit of nuclear weapons. North Korea's weapons enhancements, including the testing of various types of missiles this year at an unprecedented rate, have alarmed neighbours South Korea and Japan. The two Koreas remain technically at war after their 1950-53 conflict ended in a truce, rather than a peace treaty. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-n...y-mass-8843643
