Arrow Israeli Robots Remake Battlefield

Israeli Robots Remake Battlefield

TEL AVIV, Israel – Israel is developing an army of robotic fighting machines that offers a window onto the potential future of warfare.

Sixty years of near-constant war, a low tolerance for enduring casualties in conflict, and its high-tech industry have long made Israel one of the world's leading innovators of military robotics.

"We're trying to get to unmanned vehicles everywhere on the battlefield for each platoon in the field," says Lt. Col. Oren Berebbi, head of the Israel Defense Forces' technology branch. "We can do more and more missions without putting a soldier at risk."

In 10 to 15 years, one-third of Israel's military machines will be unmanned, predicts Giora Katz, vice president of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., one of Israel's leading weapons manufacturers.

"We are moving into the robotic era," says Mr. Katz.

Over 40 countries have military-robotics programs today. The U.S. and much of the rest of the world is betting big on the role of aerial drones: Even Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Shiite guerrilla force in Lebanon, flew four Iranian-made drones against Israel during the 2006 Lebanon War.

When the U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, it had just a handful of drones. Today, U.S. forces have around 7,000 unmanned vehicles in the air and an additional 12,000 on the ground, used for tasks including reconnaissance, airstrikes and bomb disposal.

In 2009, for the first time, the U.S. Air Force trained more "pilots" for unmanned aircraft than for manned fighters and bombers.

Think PapaRock might be a Guinea Pig for Red Bull... lol
Ether that or he is actually a robot developed by IMI and never needs sleep. eek scary stuff.
Only joking PapaRock!!

I think these UAV's are testament to the ingenuity of the Jewish /Israeli people. Only 6-7 million people in Israel and they punch way way above there weight as far as HiTech devices goes. Total respect to the people who developed these amazing flying machines. Keep it up guys. Keep it up.

This is a UAV with wingspan similar like Boeing737 and is one of the largest UAV.

It can also reach 15 000 meters altitude, and can fly over Iran or Syria,Lebanon...

Also i would say that hermes UAV done well job, indeed it stopped drug and weapon smuggling, also it provided good and accurate border control thus info for Ground forces about enemy positions.

Anyway israel learns from other experiences(just like Iraq with Passive Aerial attack defence)
We all know NATO's aerial attack against Serbia in 1999, for example, Serbian quickly forces shot down 42 U.S. Drones, drastically reducing the effectiveness of the bombing campaign.

But you could not connect UAV or Machine Gun/sniper platform mounted on APC or mounted on UAV with robot-you doesn't have theory for that.

Yes robotic technology is used....but robot(Russian word by the way) is something different.

Robot's according to the Law of robotics cannot be used in ANY WAY to harm HUMAN.

Quote:
One, a robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm."

"Right!"

"Two," continued Powell, "a robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law."

"Right!"

"And three, a robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws."
Difference between human's and robots is our thinking capability

This way, when the neuron send's message internally is negative (in relation to the outside), the ions are, of course, but still maintained some balance between cell membranes and external. (Set ions cross the membrane faster others slower ...

What is the reaction that reaction?

OK... time is now to be conveyed information, and will happen here swingeing changes to the balance of membrane-neurons is negatively charged, now neurons
should send a message out of the electron so we have more sodium, which goes to neuron because sodium is + charged and neurons is relatively negative so it is attracted.

Because charge of sodium as the neurons become more positive to say ... and depolarizes further unlike the Sodium,Potassium enabled the slower time crossing the membrane but just in time .. but when potassium enters the "stage".

Specifically speaking potassium performed Rivers depolarization, while this is happening in membrane channels for sodium are closing..

So with depolarization neurons will return to balance-or more precisely neurons returns to get ready for sending another info ... i think that the balance was on-70me.

This is what i Know about sending instructions and our perception.

I really don't believe that for 20 years we will have robot's(AI)...but instead that i'm definitely sure that exoskeleton will be used in battlefields, but only for special forces Because lack of energy. (note that it will have night vision, sonar(soldiers in action are exited-means more heart beating,or maybe changing ammo)...and team will be integrated in sharing info.
