I am an assitant coach in IKMF Krav Maga.

is a very lovely defense system but most moves will sure get u into trouble once you used, so only use it if ur life is in threat

type " wolfyjournalism " on youtube you will find me.

I tought my son (16) a few seriously deadly holds and he recently got into an altercation with a kid that was from what his father said a black belt in something or other and was clearly 30 lbs heaver than my son. My kid put a rear naked choke on him and I guess put the fear of God into the punk.

Word to the wise don't teach your kids techniques that you don't want them to use. From now on he is getting less than leathal training at home.

Just thought I would share my experiance.

I've been training CQB from the Toddgroup here in NZ. It is tried & tested western style military close combat & of course I recommend it to anyone. I wonder if it's similar to Krav Maga at all? I will have to check Krav Maga out.

Don't forget Krav Maga Maor from my good friend Maor Amnon of The Israel Self Defense Center in the city of Modi'in (located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem).

That's one of the reasons why I went to Krav. G*d made certain promises to Israel, and blessed it in certain ways. Makes sense to ride that train and see where it leads.

Welcome to the board.
Israel would appreciate your offer, but there is no path for non-Israelis
such as yourself to serve in the military in Israel.

ayala 02-11-2012 04:53 PM

i have been learning krav maga since i was 4 years old and am pleased to say that i am an accomplished black belt in this great skill.
i think it is important for every israeli to know how to defend themselves and also attack when in contact with the enemy.
i give credit to my parents for enabling me to learn it.

YES Krav Maga is a great system along with Kapap, but as in any system it is important to do research and find yourself a good instructor as there are many fake instructors out there, remembering there is no such thing as traditional Krav Maga as the aim of the system was to defend against all types of attacks so the system evolves continually to be able to adapt new tactics in order to fight against new threats /weapons etc , the same as any military tactics evolve , there is no such thing as a perfect system just a perfecting one!
