Israeli Fighter Pilot Laid to Rest
Israeli pilot, Maj. Ohad Cohen Nov was laid to rest today, in his home town of Mazor, east of Tel Aviv. The 34 year old fighter pilot leaves behind a daughter and a pregnant wife.

Maj. Nov was returning from an air strike in Gaza when his aircraft experienced difficulties. He aborted at least one landing attempt before his airplane reportedly caught on fire, causing the pilot and navigator to eject. The navigator survived with minor injuries.

RIP to a brave protector of the Jewish people.

Rest in Peace, Major...

I find this news shocking, and would love to know what exactly happened on that incident. The F-16 was on landing attempt when it caught fire and the news said that both crews ejected. There was an incident in my country when a single seat F-16 tries several times to land under a heavy rainstorm, ended short at high descent rate, impacting the ground before the threshold marker, one pilot died.

The preliminary Israeli investigation has ruled out pilot error as the cause of the fatal accident.
